Swindon Pubs

I’ve added a list of some favourite Swindon pubs.

If anyone has any other suggestions, please let me know.

  1. I used to work at the Manor Farm in Haydon Wick that was always popular for good food and service.
Also i always liked The Cold Harbour in Blunsdon, peaceful and good quality food.

  2. Thanks, Tessa.

Is the Manor Farm the large Banks’ pub? I’ve eaten there once and it was good. It’s one of the few new "estate" pubs that I’d go in again, and I thought they did a good job. But I don’t have any particular reason to go there.

That said, it’s a good pub for the area it’s in. I used to live in West Swindon, and couldn’t find much to recommend in the Purton/Blunsdon/Gorse Hill/Highworth area of town.

  3. Where can I find the list?

    Own preferences

    Beehive (Swindon Institution)
    Roaring Donkey (intimate)
    George (female friendly)
Merlin (good place to watch football)
Los Gatos (new tapas bar iN Wood Street, nice owners & staff)

Good point - I’ll add the Beehive and the Donkey. Great ale in both, and both are institutions.

I’ll give Los Gatos a go sometime.
