More on Ear Problems
Hopefully, this posting will be picked up by people searching for ear blockage, or eustation.
If you are suffering from this, you have my sympathies. In my opinion, it’s a complex problem.
None of this is medical advice. Speak to a doctor first. I’m not a doctor, and I’m not medically trained. However, doctors don’t know everything and don’t think of everything all the time. What’s here has helped me, and is worth bouncing off your doctor.
One thing that has helped me has been a steroid spray called flixonase. Antihistamines have also helped. External decongestants like olbas oil have helped. Attempting to equalize the pressure in my ears have helped (pinch your nose and blow out).
What I’ve also found is that moving my head to the other side gives me a neck strain, but relieves some of the symptoms of my ear problems, and seems to help open things up. If you are suffering from eustation problems, it might be worth trying. Obviously, don’t strain it.
I’m off to see a chiropractor to see if I can get them to have a professional look at whether there is some neck pressure that’s causing the problems.
