Lady Vengeance

Film 4 are showing Chan Wook-Park’s Lady Vengeance on Thursday night.
I’m going to set my recorder, because Chan Wook-Park made a film in 2003 called Oldboy which was simply one of the most stunning movies I’ve seen in a long time. Rarely do I catch a film that is so intelligent and visually arresting. You really couldn’t see where it was heading for.
If you are at all squemish, it’s probably not for you. Oldboy went beyond anything I’d seen before in terms of gruesomeness, but it was all important to the story.
