I’m a big fan of his work*, so this shouldn’t have made me laugh, but did.
Incidentally, Kubrick and Hitchcock never won one either, so he’s in good company.

How I miss going to the cinema, I’ve even been twice in one day, I used to be such an addict in my single days. I used to love those continental films and was very easily carried away by the mood of the moment.
I recommend Amazon or Tesco DVD rental. They’ve got a huge variety. Everything from a Bruce Willis actioner, to old classics like Double Indemnity, to modern Japanese cinema through to Nouvelle Vague films like Bande a Part.
I didn’t know Tesco did rental. The thing is, they are so cheap to buy nowadays, I only buy my favourites, then you can see them over and over.
My hushand wants to see Ali G at the weekend - is that more male humour than female? Probably, but I hope to share in some of the laughs.
Jagshemash! (your husband will understand).
Do you mean Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan? I think it’s definitely male.
I’ve got some favourites that I keep, and a few films that I’ve rented and then bought later. Amazon do a discount on a buy after a rent.
Hi, Yes I do mean Borat, it opens this weekend. I shall definitely avoided Saw 111, have you heard about it? It’s so vile that people have been running out screaming, even fainting.
Ellee,
I don’t really do horror much anymore, although I don’t mind a bit of gruesomeness as part of a larger drama (such as in Park Chan-Wook’s Oldboy).
