Electronic Monopoly

I was walking past a shop today when I noticed that they are now selling an electronic version of Monopoly. So, instead of having to count notes, you just swipe a card.
I’m not sure that this counts as progress. One of the things that occurs to me about monopoly is that, by fun, it helps with children’s numeracy. That if they play the banker, they have to learn to give change. If you just have to swipe a card, then that’s lost.
You can’t beat the boardgame, having a good family row when someone buys all the hotels and wipes the rest of you out.
Buy orange.
Maybe it can be hacked so that the game occasionally shortchanges you, but will back off if you confront it. That way, you have to stay on your arithmatical toes.
Catherine,
Maybe Guido can port Python to run on it?
Incidentally, been watching a Django video over the last few nights. Looks great if you’re running in a highly dynamic environment.
