Apartment Carabeo
I’ve built a small website for a friend for his holiday apartment in Nerja in Southern Spain. It’s a 2-bed apartment and there’s still availabiility. The website address is http://www.carabeo.co.uk.
The site was built using Wordpress, generally considered more as a blogging platform, but it serves well as a site building platform, especially when there is content editing to be required. As well as blogs, Wordpress has Pages which can have content. The theme was built from scratch by myself, and I’m considering releasing it as "terracotta" if there’s any interest.
There’s also a huge amount of Wordpress plugins which allowed me to do things without resorting to any PHP hacking. For the site, I used Weathericon (which displays the live weather), Filosofo Homepage Control (which allows a page to be the default instead of a blog) and Ryan Duff’s Contact Form plugin. Many thanks to the developers of these.
I also used Easy Thumbnails and Paint.net to help to get the images how I wanted them.

Thanks very much Ellee. I’m happy with most of it. I keep looking at the header and thinking that it needs some rework.
