Postcard from Edgy

I’m not currently doing much on my Ubuntu/Inspiron 2500 setup, so it seemed an ideal time to move up from Dapper to Edgy. I should have remembered the old adage about "if it ain’t broke…"
I’m now getting display problems, which reading around sound like something to do with xorg.conf. Anyway. the good news is that using an older kernel version on loading, it works out fine. Loads up, and I get a whole bunch of revised packages.
I’ve also installed Wordpress 2.1 (install was very simple) and I’m going to have a tinker with it.
