Car Giant

I’m in the market for a new car. I’ve reached the point where my trusty old Toyota Carina is ready to be passed on. I’ve had 7 years of motoring with very little trouble from it.
I’ve had a recommendation about Car Giant, who sell cars on a high turnover/low profit basis, which means that instead of what I was thinking of getting, I can probably afford something a little more upmarket.
Any readers bought a car from them?
Tim, I would prefer to buy a car with a local connection so I get good service if there are any problems, is that available with Car Giant? I’m sorry I haven’t heard of them. I’ve done 70,000 miles in my Honda Civix Max, I must have had it for 5 years.
A friend of mine had a problem and took the car back.
I probably won’t do that as it would be too far (unless it was a major problem). I see the lower ticket price as part of the payoff for taking that risk.
I also like the general idea. None of the exotic workshops and sales negotiations. Here’s the car, here’s the price, take it or leave it.
There’s also a car supermarket opening in Swindon at the old EMI CD pressing factory. Maybe I could see if I get 200K out of the Toyota.
Civics are, of course, made just down the road here.
It’s possibly the difference between the male and female approach here.
