Casillero del Diablo Casablanca Sauvingon Blanc

I like sauvignon blanc, but I’m quite particular about it. Too often, it’s too acidic for my liking. Even well-rated and high priced bottles have too much in them.

So, I was pleasantly surprised by this bottle from the Casablanca Valley in Chile that Tesco are selling. It’s got some acidity, but before that moment where it overpowers the enjoyment of the wine, it doesn’t follow through, leaving a fresh fruity taste. It’s only about £4.50 a bottle, so a bargain in my opinion.

  1. I shall definitely try it out, a chilled glass of Saugignon Blanc is perfect for those long summer evenings just around the corner.

I’ve just written about a £500 bottle of red, btw, I’m sure you know it well.
