Homeopathy and Alternative Medicine

It’s interesting to read this defence of homeopathy.

" Recent research carried out at the hospital includes a clinical trial of acupuncture, showing it to be effective, and cost-effective, for chronic headache, and a trial of Gingko for dementia."

I haven’t read the evidence, but it’s quite possible. There’s a certain remedy that used to come from willow bark that’s proven to be effective.
The problem is that alternative medicine is not a single entity. Just because Ginkgo shows results for dementia doesn’t mean that crystal healing, astrotherapy or homepathy work.

Homeopathy is just quackery based on an utterly banal idea that the more you dilute the remedy, the stronger it gets. And it does this by leaving behind some sort of "memory" in the water. You can test this yourself. Take a large glass of water and add a drop of Bacardi to it. If you find yourself wanting to sing Born to be Wild and craving a kebab, let me know.
