I note that Ridley Scott has a really, truly, honestly, last and final, definitive director’s cut of Blade Runner called The Final Cut. It’s easy to see how films with the impact of Blade Runner, Amadeus or Apocalypse Now get this treatment, because they have a huge geek following that will buy them up.
