Meerkats for Trafalgar Square

Whilst I believe that Tracey Emin is sincere about her art, it’s not generally my cup of tea. But her “Something for the Future”, a small group of meerkats on the 4th Plinth at Trafalgar Square is an interesting piece that is both contemporary, but is highly accessible.
The meerkats are small, and only occupy a fraction of the whole of the plinth, but that seems to be the point. Meerkats live in the wild, in quite isolated groups, yet work as a very closely-knit team that takes care of each other.
