Subdomain Hosting

I recently had to set up some domains, and they had to have subdomains.
I normally use 1and1 for my domains, and they’re fine, but they have a weird rule about subdomains. It doesn’t matter how many domains you have on your account, you only get 5 subdomains. 5 per domain I can understand, but 5, regardless of whether you have 1 or 100 domains doesn’t make any sense.
After some research, I found 123-reg and there doesn’t seem to be any limit on subdomains.
