Ideas for a Better Britain

Credit to Timmy for find this. Here’s Rory Bremner, a man who should remember that he’s far more talented as a mimic than he is as a politician:-
I would introduce compulsory youth community and environmental projects for 18-year-olds. A six-month programme split between community projects in the UK and abroad – like a flood relief programme in Bangladesh – it would apply to everyone whether from state or public school and would work like conscription but, instead of military training, school-leavers would learn the importance of contributing to their community.
Also known as “having a job”.
I saw that too- thought it looked like a great idea- quite striking that it doesn’t seem to have been done before (I’m not counting anything faked-up by politicians, obviously).
um, I’m talking about the “ideas for a better Britain” concept, not what Rory said…
So, what’s your idea, Alice?
Personally, I want a very simple law introduced - summary justice for people who hold up the line at cafes whilst talking on their cellphones.
Definitely that, also Clarkson for Prime Minister, random drugs testing for all kids’ TV presenters (if only because there are just too many) and Marks and Spencers to bring back high-fat crisps in ham, barbecue and prawn cocktail flavours.
