If there’s one band who seemed to depart before their stay was outwelcome and the hosts started yawning, looking at their watches and hinting that they had to be up early, it’s Portishead. Thankfully, after being away for 10 year, they’re back.
Dummy was a brilliant album of experimentation, Portishead a more refined affair, but for me, better written. I’ve got a good feeling about the simply-titled Third, that Portishead maybe sat around thinking of what to do next and waited until they were ready to release another great album.

If there’s one thing they do need to do, it’s to fix their web site. It’s really bad.
