MEPs to debate Patio Heater Ban

Euro MPs will debate whether or not to phase out the use of patio heaters today.

So, having banned people smoking in pubs across Europe, with the effect that pubs have to put in heaters to keep their patrons warm, they’re taking more actions against the consequences of their actions, and driving even more people away from going out to the pub.

Next thing, they’ll want to bring in laws to protect all the pubs from becoming private residences after they go out of business, or call for an EU Fund for a retraining scheme for unemployed publicans and bar staff when the pubs close down.
