Another title I’ve recently received is the slighly odd-sounding Super Paper Mario.

This is a variation on the original Super Mario Brothers, with lots of adventure elements and has a nice twist: the ability to flip between 2d and 3d. So, as you’re trying to work out where to go next, sometimes you get stuck. The answer may be to “flip” and work out a way around your problem in 3d.

It’s also visually strong and quite a lot of fun. If there’s one little criticism, there’s a lot of “story” stuff at the start that could do with a “skip this” feature.
