Bletchley Park

But, despite an impressive contribution to the war effort, the Bletchley Park site, now a museum, faces a bleak future unless it can secure funding to keep its doors open and its numerous exhibits from rotting away.
I had a look through the Bletchley Park accounts. It lost around £500K last year and was turned down for lottery funding. Still, we can spend £61 million on a footbridge for the Olympics.
What hampers them is that it is in the middle of a field in the middle of nowhere. If they shifted the museum lock stock and barrel closer to e.g. Oxford, complete with Nissen huts, they’d get loads more visitors.
