Pop star Madonna and her husband Guy Ritchie are to divorce, it was reported today.
On the one hand, divorce is never a nice thing.
On the other, it means there’s less chance of Madonna starring in a movie*.
* To be fair, Madonna was OK in Desperately Seeking Susan and A League of Their Own, but in both, she was playing a version of herself. It’s when she tries to play things like a missionary nurse that it all goes wrong.
