Top Blogging (Bank Bailout Special)

I don’t do a whole lot of pointing to other bloggers, but some special commendations are due to a couple of bloggers over the house price/bank bailout situation.
Firstly, to Mark Wadsworth who seems to be almost full time on this topic at the moment and who is demonstrating far more depth on the subject than […]

Reliability of “Citizen Journalism”

There are two stories this week on the subject of “citizen journalism” which have a common thread.
First up, there’s this story in the Telegraph about Disney using IMDB quotes for one of it’s movies. Jason Solomons, probably one of the UK’s best film reviewers is concerned about it:-
These online postings are unreliable. […]

The theme and content are still under development.

Wordpress MU

Code for running multi-user blogs is freely available from Wordpress. This is the same code that runs the blogs on wordpress.com.
So, what this means is that if you are a company and want to have multiple blogs (so tom.companyname.com, dick.companyname.com and harry.companyname.com), you can do so, and they can be centrally administered (Wordpress has some […]

Google MyMaps

I’ve just tried out Google’s new MyMaps feature that’s part of Google Maps. I was trying it because my own attempts at creating a custom map were time consuming - working out the co-ordinates and then hand coding them.
MyMaps gives you a browser interface where you can plot points of interest, draw lines and all […]
